Watch Von’s Story

In this video, Von Michael shares how Chapel, Workship and the welcoming community he found at PBA shaped his faith and equipped him to realize his calling to ministry and music.

Highlights of Von’s Story

Von Michael, a Marketing major at PBA, first discovered Palm Beach Atlantic University as a teenager. After visiting campus and experiencing the welcoming Christian community, he knew it was where he was meant to be.

During his first few years, Von admits he was caught up in the world and unsure of his direction. Although he had a passion for music, he kept it private and didn’t fully pursue it. That changed during a chapel service when a message about purpose deeply impacted him. He was reminded that he was created intentionally by God and called to live out that purpose.

From that moment, Von began pursuing music as a calling rather than just a passion. Through chapel, worship, and Workship—PBA’s service initiative—he developed both spiritually and practically. Workship, in particular, helped equip him to serve others and step into ministry.

Today, Von and his wife Selah are actively involved in ministry, speaking to young people in juvenile centers, college campuses, and communities in need. They share messages about overcoming anxiety and finding freedom in Christ, combining preaching and worship to create powerful moments of surrender and transformation.

Von’s own experience with anxiety became part of his testimony. Through Scripture and faith, he found healing and now uses that story to help others experience the same freedom. He credits PBA for equipping him to live out his calling and reminds others that they were created on purpose, for a purpose, by a Creator.
